"Go Elli! Big recommendation from me to Elli's Art Style workbook," praised Riika Nick Art.

In the Epic Art Style workbook, one of the assignments involves analyzing your artistic idols to understand what inspires you about their work. The goal is to incorporate these elements into your own art. To illustrate this I took a step back to see the influences that have shaped my current art style, including the aesthetics of Disney's old school 2D animation, the artistic characteristics of Japanese woodblock prints, and Matisse's use of color and experimentation with perspective. Here you can clearly see that while I drew inspiration from these art works, I was still able to develop a strong and unique visual language of my own.
