I couldn’t keep the secret anymore. I did one more art video before Christmas. Happy Holidays to you guys!
Less than two weeks ago I said I’m gonna quit my Youtube channel Dood Elli Doo because of time issues. But after the decision I started missing the video making. I started to think if there would be a smarter way to do this. How could I keep on being an Youtube artist, an animation student, a Christmas card entrepeneur and freelancer illustrator at the same time? The obvious response was that if I could combine my projects I could still keep on doing all of them. So say hello to my new born Youtube channel Elli Maanpää Art where I share making of videos of my art projects. The first video is in English and I’m still not sure how I feel about my accent. What do you think? Can I do this? I’m also looking dazzling in the thumbnail. I love it. Life is more fun when you are a bit goofy.
Last Thursday I posted the last (for now) Dood Elli Doo on Youtube. It took 2-years of pondering before I got the channel started but it took only couple of days to decide to put it off.
I love doing these artsy videos but each one take 2 whole work days to accomplish. So now when animation classes start again and I need to find work that would pay the bills – like for example concentrate on Joulukorttikauppa – I just have to put Dood Elli Doo on a break.
Thank you so much for your support and likes! It means everything to me.
Pokemon Go seems to be everywhere. It even took over Dood Elli Doo today. But whoms head it took?
P.S. Remember to turn on the CC for English subtitles. And let me know if you’d like me to do a video in English with my Finnish rally accent.
This weeks Dood Elli Doo is about a summer job I had years ago: I was working as a clown in a play in a Finnish amusement park called Santerin Seikkailumaa in Ähtäri. Feel free to share your funny summer job experiences?
P.S. Remember to turn on the English subtitles to understand the story behind the illustration.
