I had the pleasure of participating in an art exhibition titled 'Trio,' curated by Charlotta Björkendahl, alongside Finnish contemporary painters Jaana Mattsson and Sanna Vakkilainen. Our artworks were displayed together, yet each of us had our own 'collection.'
My collection, titled 'Sisters,' featured paintings of female muses. Even when sisters are physically apart, they remain connected. They transcend the boundaries of the painting canvas, intertwined in a web of paint spots. The inspiration for the women depicted in my paintings came from mannequins found in magazines discovered in my spouse's grandma's attic. My figurative paintings evoke a sense of summer nostalgia and vibrant vintage vibes.
