The art exhibition "Design Buddies Are Not Abandoned" ("Designkaveria ei jätetä" in Finnish) transformed a commercial space within Helsinki's Forum shopping center into a vibrant cultural hub - a pop-up gallery. With its white walls echoing those of a traditional art museum, this unconventional space seamlessly integrated art into the bustling rhythms of daily life. By bringing art to a place where people naturally gather, the exhibition fostered accessibility and inclusivity, enriching the community's cultural tapestry. Located in the heart of Helsinki, Forum shopping center epitomizes the city's dynamic spirit, serving as a meeting point for locals and visitors alike, and now, as an unexpected venue for artistic expression.
Drawing inspiration from the enchanting ballet like 'Swan Lake,' as well as the joy of receiving books during the holiday season, I crafted five new figurative paintings for the exhibition. Some of my artworks discovered new homes during the art exhibition. Those that remain available can be explored below. Your appreciation of my art, both online and offline, is deeply valued.
