Virgin Snow

Here is the making of -photographs of the painting Virgin Snow which is part of the UHANALAISET art exhibition. I was inspired by the great Finnish painter Albert Edelfelt’s painting of her French lover and muse Virginie from the year 1883. My muse was the very endangered and beautiful animal Snow leopard. Below you can see my progress with the painting from sketches to layers and layers of acrylic paint. This might be the last progress photograph blog post of the UHANALAISET paintings since the exhibition opens tomorrow night. Unless you demand more. There is still six more paintings in the UHANALAISET art show.

Now I’m off to celebrate my 30th birthday. Be well. Be happy. virgin-snow_elli-maanpaa_Uhanalaiset_2015virgin-snow_elli-maanpaa_Uhanalaiset_2015virgin-snow_elli-maanpaa_Uhanalaiset_2015virgin-snow_elli-maanpaa_Uhanalaiset_2015virgin-snow_elli-maanpaa_Uhanalaiset_2015virgin-snow_elli-maanpaa_Uhanalaiset_2015virgin-snow_elli-maanpaa_Uhanalaiset_2015virgin-snow_elli-maanpaa_Uhanalaiset_2015virgin-snow_elli-maanpaa_Uhanalaiset_2015virgin-snow_elli-maanpaa_Uhanalaiset_2015
