Ruggles

Ennen joulua sain tilauksen tehdä vesiväripotretin sympaattisesta koirasta nimeltä Ruggles. Alla prosessikuvia työskentelystäni. Aloitin piirtämällä ääriviivat lyijykynällä.

Before Christmas I got a commission to do a watercolor portrait of a cool dog named Ruggles. Below are making of photographs of the working process. I started with drawing the outlines with pencil.ruggles_god_portrait_painting Sitten siirryin vesiväreihin.

Then I proceed to watercolors.ruggles_god_portrait_paintingLähiotos.

The shade of the water in the water cup tells that the painting is moving forward.ruggles_god_portrait_paintingKultainen riipus oli haastava, koska en ollut 100% varma siitä mitä koru esitti. Luulen, että kyseessä oli jonkinlainen rapu. Jotta sain korun säkenöimään käytin kultaista mustetta ja valkoista akryyliä.

The golden necklace was a tough cookie because I wasn’t completely sure what was the shape of the medallion. I think it was some kind of crayfish. To get it to shine I used golden ink and white acrylic paint.ruggles_god_portrait_painting Lopuksi tartuin uudestaan lyijykynään, jolla tummensin varjoja ja tein yksityiskohtia potrettiin.

Ultimately I grabbed the pencil again with what I darkened the shadows and made some details to the portrait.

Almost ready.ruggles_god_portrait_paintingTeipit pois ja Ruggles on siinä.

Just remove the tapes and Ruggles is there.
