Self-Portrait

Artists often create themselves in their images. At least I do. Even when I’m not trying to draw myself I easily add some features of my own face to the image. It’s like my nose and eyes are doing photo-bombing in almost all my drawings regardless who the actual muse is. But in this sketch-a-day drawing I did s self-portrait on purpose. It’s a drawing of me painting myself. Drawing can be good self-examination but it can also be used as a disguise. I used pencil, color pencil, marker and correction pen onto brown paper. Below you can see the whole work and some close-ups.self_portrait_drawing_elli_maanpaa_ellimaanpaa_2014_1 self_portrait_drawing_elli_maanpaa_ellimaanpaa_2014_2 self_portrait_drawing_elli_maanpaa_ellimaanpaa_2014_3 self_portrait_drawing_elli_maanpaa_ellimaanpaa_2014_4
