PARTY ANIMALS

Elli Maanpää 2020 // 3 acrylic paintings on sparkling wine corks

I do like sparkling wine but I did not drink the wine these corks accompanied. I got these corks (there’s still about 300 left) from a friend of mine who worked in the cafe of the Helsinki City Theatre. I’d like to make more of them and then organize a “Party Animals” exhibition in a bar or wine cafe. Most of these animals I painted from my imagination.
