I am so inspired by nature.
This is not the first – nor the last – time that I talk about the inspiration I get from the nature. Last year I made blog post about a Inspiration From The Forest and I’ve shared my nature photographs here in the blog every once in a while.
Us Finns have a special relationship with nature. I think we blessed in the sense that there is so much nature to explore. Our country is vast without large amount of population. So you don’t have to bike far from the city centre to find the blossoming wilderness.
Last week – since the weather has been too good to stay indoors – I biked to Pomponrahka. It’s a nature reserve about seven kilometres from the Turku Market Square. I took my Olympus Pen Lite E-PL5 digital camera along. I snapped these photographs from the hike.
The place is amazing. Even though the area isn’t very big it has many different landscapes. Walking on those duckboards is always new experience. The view keeps on changing on every step on the way.
Nature inspires me in so many ways. Often I use my own photographs as references for drawings: colour-, value- and composition studies. I talk about the benefits of photographing yourself in my How to Learn Art –post.
Sometimes the inspiration is not that concrete.
Just by entering the forest from the city takes your brain to another level. It’s meditation… but also I find it to be the most energising brain boost. For example, If I’ve been stuck with a creative idea I go for a walk in the forest. The nature gives me new insight.
So go out guys and let the nature inspire you. If there isn’t a forest near you there is always the sky to look at. It’s as beautiful everywhere you go.
